PK-386,a high yielding, early maturing, long-grain and non-aromatic rice variety was evolved by hybridizing two lines (4439 and 1053-1-2) at Rice Research institute, Kala Shah Kaku, Sheikhupur, Pakistan. It is best for all those rice lovers who love to eat dry cuisines. On the other hand, it is preferred over other non-basmati rice varieties due to its quality and usability.
